Margaret Nelligan is a corporate finance lawyer and a partner at Aird & Berlis LLP. Margaret has hands-on experience advising licensed producers, distributors and other participants in the cannabis industry on various corporate and securities matters, including joint ventures, public and private financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, corporate governance, and general corporate work. She recently acted as counsel to the Special Committee of the board of directors of Mettrum Health Corp. in connection with its share exchange merger with Canopy Growth Corporation.
As a former member of the Securities Advisory Committee of the Ontario Securities Commission, Margaret brings a depth of perspective and understanding to her corporate and securities law practice. She keeps on top of emerging issues that affect her clients and draws on her involvement in venture capital, private equity and governance to provide them with guidance on how best to respond.
